Liu Hou Wang 刘厚旺

Born 1960, China.

Liu Houwang was born in Yandang Mountain, Wenzhou in 1960. He studied poetry, calligraphy and painting with Mr. Sheng Mufu (a disciple of Huang Binhong) since childhood. From 2006 to 2007, he studied landscape painting at the China Academy of Art. From 2012 to 2013, he studied in Mr. Jiang Baolin’s Chinese painting integration class. He is currently a distinguished professor at Lishui College, a member of the Zhejiang Artists Association, a researcher at the Zhejiang Painting Academy, a member of the Zhejiang Lu Yanshao Art Research Association, an art director of the Binjiang Artists Association, a member of the Hangzhou Huang Binhong Art Research Association, a director of the Qianjiang Calligraphy Research Association, an external painter of the China National Cultural Palace, and the vice president of the Zhejiang Branch of the China Great Wall Painting and Calligraphy Association (China Armed Police). His works have been selected for exhibitions held by the China Artists Association many times and have been collected by many art institutions.

刘后旺，1960年生于温州雁荡山。自幼跟随盛牧夫先生（为黄宾虹入室弟子）学习诗书画，2006-2007年深造于中国美术学院山水专业。2012-2013年进入姜宝林先生中国画统合班学习。现为丽水学院特聘教授、浙江美术家协会会员、浙江画院创研员、浙江省陆俨少艺术研究会会员、滨江美协艺术指导、杭州黄宾虹艺术研究会会员、钱江书法研究会理事、中国民族文化宫外聘画师、中国长城书画协会浙江分会（中国武警）副会长。作品多次入选中国美协举办的展览，并被多家艺术机构收藏。
